NOTSL Design Competition

Dear NOTSL Colleagues,

Exciting news! The NOTSL Board is hosting a design competition to replace our current logo. At the spring business meeting, members voted to change the name of our organization from the "Northern Ohio Technical Services Librarians" to "NOTSL," in the hopes of expanding our mission to include members throughout Ohio and beyond. Updating our organization's name is not done lightly. With the introduction of the new name, your Board members concluded that we need to update our logo. 

Here is where you come into the process. We have many talented NOTSL members; we couldn't pass up an opportunity to reach out to YOU, our community, for your logo design ideas. Logo design submissions should be sent to our NOTSL Logo Design Committee (emails below). The NOTSL Board will review and select the top three (3) designs, which will then be shared with all NOTSL members who will be able to vote for the best design. The winning design will be announced in the spring of 2026.

What's in it for YOU? Besides bragging rights of having your design displayed on all official NOTSL branding, the winner of the design contest will also receive complimentary registration to the NOTSL Spring 2026 meeting.

 The logo design competition rules: 

• Participants may submit one or more logo designs.
• Logo designs need to be submitted in the following formats: .img, .pdf, .jpg, or .png
• Logo design resolution: 300 dpi
• Naming convention: Participants must use the NOTSL name in the logo submission
• Submit your design with a short-written description with the file name "NOTSL_Logo_FirstName_LastName"
• NO AI assistance or logo submissions. These need to be YOUR original ideas. Thank you!
• If you have a great idea but are unsure about the artistic execution, you may submit a rough mockup that clearly illustrates your idea. 

 Submission deadline for all logo designs is November 1, 2025
