Technical Services Departments and Acquisitions staffs carry a responsibility to manage funds with wisdom and insight. But how to best manage this? And at what cost? Mary Murphy Technical Services Coordinator, Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library

Mary Murphy first started working in libraries twenty years ago.  She has been working at Cleveland Heights since 1991 and has worked in Technical Services since 1998.  Since working at Cleveland Heights, Mary's greatest adventures have been serving as Staff Association President and serving on the 2003
Ohio Library Council, Local Arrangements committee.

Margaret Maurer Assistant Professor, Catalog & Metadata Librarian, Kent State University Libraries

Margaret Maurer coordinates cataloging standards for Kent State University. She is also the long-time editor of TechKNOW, the quarterly electronic review sponsored by the Technical Services Division of the Ohio Library Council, and is the list owner of the TSLIBRARIANS discussion list and a frequent workshop presenter.

Julie Gammon's work experience includes all types of libraries–public, academic, and special libraries.  Currently she serves as chair of the OhioLINK's statewide Collection Building Task Force. Active in the library community, Ms. Gammon was the recipient of the ALA ALCTS Leadership in Acquisition Award, is a past President of the North American Serials Group (NASIG), is involved in the ALA's Business of Acquisitions Institute and co-teaches a web class entitled, The Fundamentals of Acquisitions.

Louise Sevold has been the Technical Services Director at Cuyahoga County Public LIbrary for 14 years, supervising Acquisitions, Cataloging, Processing, and Interlibrary Loan. She has served on the DRA Users Group Board and has been the Acquisitions Section of ALCTS liaison to CC:DA for two years.
